Coon Rapids Day Care Center is a non-profit organization founded by the Coon Rapids United Methodist Church in 1969. The primary task of the Coon Rapids Day Care is to lovingly care for and nurture the children entrusted to us in an atmosphere of affirmation and acceptance. Our goal is to create and maintain safe and healthy settings that foster children’s social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development while respecting each child’s dignity and individuality.

Coon Rapids Day Care Center is licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services to provide full time and part time care for children Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We provide care for infants starting at 6 weeks of age, toddlers, preschoolers, and school age children (who attend Mississippi Elementary School).

The program at the Coon Rapids Day Care Center is designed to provide growth in individual and social development (self-confidence, self-concept, and self discipline) through valuable group experiences both indoors and outdoors. The Coon Rapids Day Care Center staff will provide supervision, activities, and care for children in such a manner as to encourage cooperative play and interaction among children.
